App updates
Update TVLok
On Fire TV and Android TV, sideloaded builds update by installing the newer APK over the existing app. Keep the same TVLok package and signing key so Android treats it as an upgrade and preserves your app data. Phones and tablets use the phone download on the install page.

Download the newest APK
Use the Download APK button or Downloader code from the download page.
Install over the current app
Try this first. Installing over the app keeps your account, devices, and local playback data. If Downloader goes back to the start after you choose Install, or Android says App not installed, there is probably another copy of TVLok on the TV that this one cannot replace, such as the phone version. Remove it, then install again. On Fire TV, open Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, choose TVLok, then Uninstall. On Android TV, open Settings, Apps, See all apps, choose TVLok, then Uninstall. If TVLok was already working and you have recordings saved only on the TV, contact support first. The install page lists every step.
Open TVLok
If your current version is too old, TVLok may ask you to update before continuing.
Beta note
TVLok is still beta. Updates may include playback fixes, guide improvements, account fixes, and device compatibility changes. If an update still fails after the steps above, contact support with your device model and what you see on screen.
